NYC Free Meals
All families can continue to go to any school building to pick up three free grab-and-go meals, between 9 am – 12 pm on weekdays, even while schools are closed. No identification or registration is necessary, and halal and kosher meals are available at some sites. Learn more here.
NYC DOE Free Devices
Each student should have their own device for remote learning. If you do not have enough remote learning devices for all of your children to learn from home, you can request a device from the DOE. If you need technical support, call DOE’s IT Help desk at 718-935-5100 and press 5 to get assistance.
NYC DOE Special Education Services
Your child continues to have the right to receive the special education supports listed on their IEP during remote learning. If you have questions or concerns, reach out to the Special Education office at specialeducation@schools.nyc.gov or call 311.

Annual Tree Lightings
NYC has most famous US tree lighting ceremony, which you can watch live on NBC December 2nd from 7-10 pm this year. There are other tree lighting ceremonies you can check out virtually, like the one in historic Gettysburg Pennsylvania, which you can see live on their Facebook page November 27th at 5:45 pm.
